Hudson middle school girls rugby wins state championship

Hudson teamed with St. Francis girls for the 2021 season and topped Medina 15-10 for the state title. The last try was scored in the final minute of the game.
Hudson's middle school girls rugby team won the state championship at the Ohio middle school state rugby tournament in Cincinnati on May 29. Hudson teamed with St. Francis girls for the 2021 season and topped Medina 15-10 for the state title.

Hudson's middle school girls rugby team won the state championship at the Ohio middle school state rugby tournament in At Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati on May 29.

Hudson teamed with St. Francis girls for the 2021 season due to low participation numbers for both schools and topped Medina 15-10 for the state title after the last try was scored in the final minute of the game. 

The team received a bye in the first round, beat Cincinnati in the second round and beat Medina in the championship.

Hudson plays in the Rookie Rugby Ohio League, in the Cleveland Conference. The league has conferences in Cleveland, Cincinnati and Northwest Ohio. 

Hudson finished a year with a 7-3 record. Regular season games were played at Cleveland St. Ignatius High School.
