Hudson girls golfers win second of four Suburban League tournaments
DiGeronimo, Du share medalist honors for the Explorers
They still have two more tournaments to settle matters.
Nevertheless, the Explorers are in the driver’s seat to win a conference championship.
The Hudson girls golf team won the seven-team National Conference at the second of the four Suburban League tournaments Wednesday at Brookledge Golf Club in Cuyahoga Falls.
The Explorers, who were the runners-up at the first conference tournament the previous week, finished with a score of 345.
Nordonia took second with a 347 and Stow-Munroe Falls, which won the first conference tournament, took third with a 354. The next two conference tournaments are scheduled to take place Sept. 19 and 22, respectively.
Hudson’s Delaney DiGeronimo and Sherry Du each shot an 80 to share medalist honors. Lizzy Grant shot an 88 and Maggie Box shot a 97 to round out the Explorers’ team score.
