Stow, Munroe Falls' residents compete in Northern Ohio PGA events

Three Stow residents and one Munroe Falls’ resident played in a Northern Ohio PGA Junior Golf event July 17 at Windmill Lakes Golf Club in Ravenna.

Ben Skirpac of Stow finished second in the boys’ 11-to-15 age group with a score of 73. Also playing in the boys’ 11-15 age group was Stow resident Liam Curtis, who finished 17th (87).

Ellie McCoy of Stow placed 16th with a score of 90 in the girls’ 16-19 age group and Munroe Falls’ resident Gabriella Berlingieri finished in a tie for sixth (85) in the girls’ 11-15 age group.

Four local golfers also competed in the boys’ 16-19 age group at an NOPGA Junior Golf event July 16 at Windmill Lakes.

Dylan Dunn of Stow finished in a tie for third (73) and Stow resident Max Crookston finished in a tie for fifth (74). Also playing were Munroe Falls’ residents Joseph Desimone, who finished in a tie for 17th (79), and Ethan Shah, who finished in a tie for 37th (85).

Dunn finished in a tie for second (71) in the boys’ 16-19 age group at an NOPGA Junior Golf event July 14 at Chippewa Golf Club in Doylestown. Skirpac also finished in a tie for second (72) in the boys’ 11-15 age group.

McCoy placed third (77) in the girls’ 16-19 age group and Liam Curtis finished in a tie for 19th (85) in the boys’ 11-15 age group.

DeSimone (tied for 19th, 78) and Shah (tied for 30th, 81) competed in the boys’ 16-19 age group. Also playing was Munroe Falls’ resident McKenzie Ickes, who finished fifth (92) in the girls’ 11-15 age group.

Local golfers competed at a NOPGA Junior Golf event July 10 at Fox Den Golf Course in Stow.

Dunn won the boys’ 16-19 age group by two strokes with a score of 71. Skirpac finished in a tie for fifth in the boys’ 11-15 age group (78) and Sarah Vojtko of Stow placed sixth (46) in the girls’ 8-11 age group.

Berlingieri finished in a tie for 13th (94) in the girls’ 11-15 age group and Shah placed 15th (82) in the boys’ 16-19 age group.

McCoy placed fourth (83) in the girls’ 16-19 age group at a NOPGA Junior Golf event July 6 at Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinckley.

Skirpac finished in a tie for 10th (81) in the boys’ 11-15 age group and Stow resident Brandon Beck finished in a tie for 11th (78) in the boys’ 16-19 age group. Shah finished in a tie for 35th (85) in the boys’ 16-19 age group.

Skirpac was the runner-up in the boys’ 11-15 age group with a score of 79 at a Northern Ohio PGA event July 2 at Rawiga Country Club in Seville. Also playing in the boys’ 11-15 age group was Stow resident Tyler Spiegel (tied for 12th, 87).

McCoy finished in a tie for seventh (83) in the girls’ 16-19 age group.

Dunn finished in a tie for ninth (78) in the boys’ 16-19 age group. Shah (tied for 23rd, 84) and DeSimone (tied for 35th, 88) also played in the boys’ 16-19 age group.
