Wants library to consider reopening teen room

I am writing this short letter as a thank-you for how well the Hudson library is handling re-opening in the midst of this pandemic.

I am so glad to finally be able to check out books, movies, and CDs again! The city of Hudson has been doing great in following COVID-19 precautions to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible.

For the library, though, there are some areas that could be improved upon. Having only the lobby, rotunda, and children’s room open definitely makes current library use more tailored towards children. This is a confusing decision, as the teen room is, from my experience, one of the more popular parts of the library, and teens are certainly responsible enough to maintain social distancing.

Prior to the pandemic, a large appeal of the teen room was browsing the shelves and discovering books that I had not originally sought to find. Perhaps the library would consider opening the teen room in the near future? Aside from that, the library is doing great. Stay strong, Hudson!
