Robbery

Store employee shoved: A State Road store employee reported that when she tried to stop an unknown woman from leaving the store without paying for items, the woman shoved her, causing her to fall and scratch her arm on Aug. 5. Police said some of the items were recovered, but the woman left with others of unknown value.

Theft

SUV stolen, items taken from vehicles: A Loomis Avenue man reported Aug. 5 that someone stole his 2016 model SUV of unspecified value from his driveway during the night. A neighbor of the man’s reported someone took several deactivated credit cards and a Social Security card from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in his driveway during the same time period.

On Aug. 4, a woman living on nearby Meadow Lane reported someone took two laptop computers totaling about $1,800 in value and several gift cards of unspecified values from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in her driveway during the night.

Package taken from foyer: An Americana Drive man reported Aug. 5 that someone stole a package containing items totaling a little over $100 in value after it was delivered to his apartment building’s foyer several days earlier.

Political signs stolen: A 12th Street woman reported Aug. 5 that someone took several political signs totaling an estimated $5 in value from her front yard during the night. A Falls Avenue man reported Aug. 1 that someone stole a political sign and flag totaling approximately $20 in value from in front of his home during the night.

Thefts from vehicles reported: An Owaisa Road man reported Aug. 4 that someone stole a 9mm pistol and a pair of sunglasses totaling an estimated $350 in value from his vehicle while it was parked outside his home since July 27. A police report did not say whether there was forced entry.

A man living on nearby Overbrook Road reported July 30 that someone took about $43 from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked outside his home since the day before.

Laptop taken after delivery: A Seventh Street man reported Aug. 3 that someone stole a package containing an approximately $756 laptop computer after it was delivered to his home on July 17.

Thefts reported on Second Street: A Cuyahoga Falls woman reported Aug. 3 that someone took a pack of cigarettes from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked outside the Second Street post office during the early afternoon Aug. 3. The woman said an unidentified person ran away when he saw her.

A Second Street woman reported July 29 that someone took several items totaling an estimated $35 in value from her unlocked vehicle during the night.

Vehicle stolen: An Ardella Road man reported July 31 that someone stole his approximately $16,000 vehicle from his driveway during the night.

Medications taken at park: A Cuyahoga Falls man reported someone took a small bag containing unspecified medications totaling about $765 in value after he briefly left it on a bench at the entrance to the Gorge Metro Park at around 3 p.m. July 31.

Center Avenue thefts reported: Two Center Avenue residents reported July 30 that someone stole a total of around $9 in cash and change from their unlocked vehicles while they were parked outside their homes during the previous couple of days.

Inducing panic

Fired gun report was false: Police said that after they responded to a report that a Pendleton Street woman fired a gun into the air in front of her home during the evening Aug. 1, an investigation determined the woman was a victim of a false allegation. Police said the identity of the person making the report was unknown.

Criminal damaging

Vehicle window smashed: A Ravenna woman reported someone smashed one of her vehicle’s side windows and took an approximately $40 empty purse while the vehicle was parked outside a Howe Avenue restaurant during the late morning or early afternoon July 29. Police said the damage was estimated at $250.
