Male brandished gun: An Akron man reported that an unknown man in a vehicle brandished a gun after the male’s vehicle nearly struck the man and he threw a beverage onto the vehicle at around 11:15 p.m. July 11.
Man found with meth and tools: Police said they charged a 51-year-old Kentucky man with third-degree felony drug possession and misdemeanor theft after they responded to a report of a suspicious person in an East Portage Trail apartment building parking lot late in the evening July 11. Police said they found the man hiding under a vehicle in the parking lot and then found in the man’s possession a small amount of a substance that later tested positive as meth and several tools totaling about $140 in value that were allegedly stolen from a vehicle parked in the lot. A police report did not say whether there was forced entry. The man was taken to Cuyahoga Falls City Jail.
Items stolen from vehicle: A James Avenue woman reported July 10 that someone stole headphones, an arm band and a wallet containing numerous credit cards and her driver’s license while the vehicle was parked outside her home since the evening before. Police said the loss totaled about $40. The woman said she was in the process of canceling the credit cards. Fraudulent charges to the cards were not reported.
Tools reported stolen: A 7th Street woman reported someone stole numerous tools and chainsaws totaling nearly $1,000 from the devil strip in front of her home during the late morning July 9.
Photos published online: A Cuyahoga Falls woman reported July 10 that an unknown person published several nude photos of her on multiple websites.
Dogs threatened: Police said they cited a High Street woman, 65, with disorderly conducted while intoxicated after she broke a window in her home, cutting herself, made a threatening comment directed at her neighbor’s dogs over a back fence and was yelling and screaming during the early evening July 9. Police said the woman was taken to Western Reserve Hospital for treatment of her injury.
