Stereo stolen from vehicle: An employee of an automotive dealership in West Avenue’s 100 block reported June 29 that someone smashed a side window of a vehicle that a customer had dropped off for servicing and stole the vehicle’s approximately $300 stereo system while the vehicle had been parked outside the dealership during the previous couple of days. Police said the damage to the window was estimated at $200.

Vehicle stolen from garage: A woman reported June 28 that someone stole her approximately $20,000 vehicle from her garage in Paul Tell Trail’s 400 block during the night. The woman said the garage door had been open several inches and was forced open the rest of the way causing minor damage. The vehicle’s keys were in the vehicle, the woman said, and a dog car seat of unspecified value, handicap placard and $20 and some change had also been in the vehicle. Two pairs of sunglasses totaling about $300 in value were stolen from a second vehicle, the woman said. A police report did not say whether there was forced entry into the second vehicle.

Ladder taken: A woman reported June 25 that someone stole an approximately $350 scaffolding ladder from the side of her home in North Thomas Road’s 200 block since the day before.

Breaking and entering

Dirt bike taken from shed: A man reported June 27 that someone broke into a locked shed outside his home, damaging a door hinge, and stole an approximately $900 dirt bike from inside the shed in Southeast Avenue’s 1300 block while he was away during the previous six days. A police report did not include a damage estimate.


Window smashed: Police said they responded to a report that someone smashed an approximately $1,000 window at a business in Southwest Avenue’s 300 block at around 3 a.m. June 27.
