Operating a vehicle
under the influence
Man stopped for traffic violation: Police said the they charged a 21-year-old Akron man with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, prohibited blood alcohol content, and marked lanes after they stopped his vehicle on Stow Road near Canterbury Drive at about 10:15 p.m. June 22. Police said the man’s BAC level measured at 0.219 percent, more than twice the 0.08-percent legal limit. The man was given a Stow Municipal Court date and released on a personal bond.
Money stolen from locker room: The general manager of the Lake Forest Country Club off Lake Forest Drive told police June 17 that three men reported that someone stole cash totaling $675 from them after it was left in the men’s locker room. Police said there was a pending investigation.
Leaf blower stolen: An employee of a Twinsburg landscaping business reported June 18 that someone stole an approximately $500 backpack leaf blower from a Darrow Road worksite during the previous couple of days.
Box was trash: Police said that after they responded to a report of a suspicious package on Terex Road during the early afternoon June 16, they determined the box was just trash.
