Phone packages stolen: An Americana Drive woman reported discovering June 16 that someone stole packages containing two cell phones totaling about $300 in value after they were delivered outside her apartment on May 20.
Gas taken from vehicle: A Northmoreland Boulevard man reported June 16 that someone siphoned about 12 gallons of gasoline valued at around $27 from his vehicle while it was parked outside his home since the day before.
Leaf blowers taken from truck: A Doylestown man reported someone stole two leaf blowers totaling around $1,300 in value from the back of his truck while he was doing landscaping work at a State Road business during the early afternoon June 16.
Bicycle taken at business: A Cuyahoga Falls man reported someone stole his approximately $100 bicycle while it was outside his State Road place of employment during the early afternoon June 16.
SUV and tools taken: An Akron man reported someone stole his approximately $3,000 SUV while it was parked outside a Winter Parkway apartment building during the evening June 15 or very early morning June 16. The man said the SUV contained tools totaling more than $1,000 in value.
Credit cards taken at park: A Wadsworth woman reported someone stole four credit cards from her unlocked vehicle while she was hiking at Gorge Metro Park off Front Street during the early evening June 14. The woman said someone then tried to use the cards to make purchases totaling more than $3,000 at a Stow store, but the attempts were blocked.
Purse stolen from cart: A Cuyahoga Falls woman reported someone stole her purse containing a cell phone, bank card, driver’s license and $10 from a shopping cart in a Howe Avenue store’s parking lot during the afternoon June 14. Police said the loss totaled approximately $160.
Outside furniture stolen: A Stow man reported June 14 that someone stole a wicker couch and two wicker chairs from the patio and a cement bench from his parents’ vacant Richmond Road home during the previous few days. Police said the loss totaled about $450.
Firewood taken from yard: A Bailey Road woman reported June 12 that someone stole firewood estimated at $20 in value from her back yard since the day before.
Lighting taken from store: Police said they charged a 48-year-old Cleveland man with fifth-degree felony theft and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession after a Howe Avenue store employee reported the man tried to leave the store without paying for lighting merchandise totaling about $1,700 in value June 11. Police said they found a drug pipe in the man’s possession. The man was taken to Cuyahoga Falls City Jail.
Egg smashed on vehicle: A State Road woman reported someone smashed an egg on top of her vehicle while it was parked outside her home during the evening June 16.
Vehicle windows smashed: The general manager of a State Road auto dealership reported someone smashed the windows of four vehicles in the dealership’s lot during the evening June 15. Police said the damage was estimated at $5,000.
Woman punched in shoulder: Police said they charged a Kent woman, 55, with first-degree misdemeanor assault after a Cuyahoga Falls woman reported the Kent woman punched her in the arm while she was trying to separate her and a Kent man she was arguing with at a Front Street business at about 3:45 p.m. June 14. Police said they cited the man, 63, with disorderly conduct after he allegedly spit in an unidentified juvenile’s face during the argument. The Kent woman was given a Stow Municipal Court date and released on a personal bond.
Mirror punched: A New Jersey woman reported an unknown person punched her vehicle’s driver side mirror, shattering it, during a road rage incident at the Tallmadge Road and Newberry Street intersection at about 8 p.m. June 12. A police report did not include a damage estimate.
Vehicle scratched: A Marguerite Avenue woman reported someone scratched up her vehicle while it was parked outside her home since the day before. Police said the damage was estimated at $800.
Pastor reports scam: The pastor of a Munroe Falls Avenue church reported June 11 that someone used his name in several emails and text messages in an attempt at soliciting money from parishioners. The pastor said there was no financial loss because no one believed the scam.
Wallet stolen from home: A Third Street man reported someone stole his wallet containing a bank card, driver’s license and a key access card, with the loss totaling an estimated $45, from his home between June 5 and 10. Police said the method of entry was unknown.
