Rising Walsh Jesuit seniors Simon Orzell and Alex Sullin to play lacrosse in college

Two rising seniors on the Walsh Jesuit boys lacrosse team recently made verbal commitments to continue their academic and lacrosse careers on the collegiate level.

Cuyahoga Falls’ resident Simon Orzell, a face-off specialist, plans to attend St. John’s University, a private Division I Roman Catholic university in New York City.

The Red Storm won three of its first seven matches before the rest of the season was canceled due to the deadly respiratory tract infection known as COVID-19.

Alex Sullin, a defenseman, plans to attend Walsh University, a private Division II Roman Catholic University in North Canton.

The Cavaliers finished 1-3 before the rest of their season was canceled because of the virus. Due to the global pandemic, the Ohio High School Athletic Association canceled the entire spring season.
