Munroe Falls expects road work on railroad tracks, North River Road
Two roads repairs are planned in Munroe Falls starting in June.
According to Mayor James Armstrong, North Main Street will be closed for about a week in June to repair the pavement on the railroad crossing near the Munroe Falls Avenue intersection. CSX will do the work, and director of public service Jim Bowery said they do not have specific dates yet.
Additionally, the Ohio Department of Transportation will resurface North River Road between state Route 91 and the Munroe Falls eastern corporation limit. Work will include pavement repair, curb ramps and pavement markings.
Council has already appropriated $150,000 to cover the engineer's estimate. Bowery anticipates the work to start sometime between June and August.
