Beacon Journal

Monday's closure of southbound ramps to and from Route 8 to Route 303 in Boston Heights has been delayed until April 12, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced Friday.

The closure had been scheduled to begin Monday and last through the end of April. The closures will now extend into mid-May, ODOT announced.

The work is part of Route 8 reconstruction in Cuyahoga Falls, Stow, Hudson and Boston Heights involving complete pavement replacement on Route 8 between Graham Road and Route 303. Estimated completion of the overall project is scheduled for July 2022.

Traffic heading south on Route 8 will be directed to exit at Hines Hill Road, then to Dean Memorial Parkway, Boston Mills Road and finally to Chittenden Road to reach Route 303.

Drivers who wish to access Route 8 southbound from Route 303 will be directed to the Seasons Road onramp heading south.
