Mass vaccination site may impact Stow-Munroe Falls bus routes
Five Stow-Munroe Falls Schools bus routes may be impacted by additional traffic associated with the upcoming mass vaccination site at the Summit County Fairgrounds in Tallmadge.
"If the mass vaccination site at the Summit County Fairgrounds results in congestion and delays, we have plans in place to reroute any of the out-of-town buses that normally travel that area," transportation supervisor Beth Hunter said.
Summit County Public Health had said the clinic likely will start in late March, but on Wednesday announced that the date has been pushed back to early April. The exact date could change based on vaccine shipments. Vaccinations open to Ohioans 16 and older on March 29.
The district's spring break runs March 29 to April 2.
Stow-Munroe Falls parents will be notified if traffic is affecting their child's bus, and updates will be posted to the Stow Transportation Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/Stow-Transportation-106704350663406.
