Hudson woman to compete on 'The Bachelor'
A local hairstylist will be one of the 32 women vying for Matt James' affections in the upcoming season of "The Bachelor."
ABC has announced the list of contestants including M.J. Snyder, 23, of Hudson, who is an alum of the Ohio State University and is based in Columbus, according to her social media accounts.
The new season starts Jan. 4, and features only the second Black lead in the franchise's history and the first Black Bachelor. James — a real estate broker, entrepreneur and community organization founder — was originally cast as a contestant for Clare Crawley in the current season of "The Bachelorette."
Snyder is the second member of Bachelor Nation with ties to Hudson, following Caila Quinn.
Quinn, the daughter of Step2 CEO Chris Quinn, made it to the top three of Ben Higgins' season, and there was speculation that she would become the reality show's next Bachelorette. Ultimately, Joelle "Jo Jo" Fletcher took that role.
