Akron Zoo offers Community Appreciation Days

The Akron Zoo will offer Community Appreciation Days with free admission for Summit County residents.

Tickets are limited, and residents must make advance reservations.

The zoo has set aside specific days where residents of each community can visit.

A resident can reserve up to four tickets at akronzoo.org two weeks prior to the days set aside for a particular community.

The zoo is requiring guests to wear masks and make advance reservations amid concerns over the spread of the coronavirus.

The community dates are:

? Aug. 29-Sept. 11: Cuyahoga Falls, Reminderville, Richfield Township, Richfield Village, Silver Lake, Stow, city of Twinsburg and Twinsburg Township.

? Sept. 12-25: Boston Heights Village, Boston Township, Hudson, Macedonia, Munroe Falls, Northfield Center, Northfield Village, Peninsula and Sagamore Hills.

? Sept. 26-Oct. 9: Barberton, Bath, Clinton, Copley, Coventry, Fairlawn, Green, Lakemore, Mogadore, New Franklin, Norton, Springfield and Tallmadge.

The zoo is open daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The regular admission is $8.
