Iris W. Gold has resigned as the director of the SAGE Community in order to begin her retirement in Virginia Beach, and Kent resident Margaret V. Kernen is assuming the role.

Margo, as she is known, is off to a great start as she plans a four-week summer lecture series via Zoom. She has been teaching and working with SAGE for several sessions over the past two years and is well-known now by the many students who have taken her popular Meditation and Mindfulness classes.

Gold comes to SAGE with a well-rounded background in education. She is a certified meditation and mindfulness instructor and a member of the International Institute for Complementary Therapists. A lifelong professional educator, she holds a bachelor of science degree in., Akron, Ohio

This fall will mark the 12th year that SAGE has been providing the residents of Hudson and many neighboring communities throughout Summit and adjoining counties with a lifelong learning experience taught by an amazing faculty made up of retired and semiretired university/college professors, career teachers, and professionals from varied disciplines.

Those who haven’t yet experienced the enjoyment of participating in SAGE Community in person are invited to take advantage of the SAGE Zoom lectures this summer, and become familiar with some outstanding faculty members who will be presenting in the series.
