Three Hudson residents won titles in their respective age groups at a Northern Ohio PGA Junior Golf event Thursday at Rawiga Country Club in Seville.
Josh Pethel shot a 74 to finish in a tie for first with Strongsville resident Michael Lee in the boys’ 16-to-19 age group.
Dexter James shot a 37 to finish in a three-way tie for first with Chesterland’s Dylan Phillips and Poland’s Angelo Rinaldi in the boys’ 8-11 age group.
Also triumphing was Emily Burling, who won the girls’ 12-15 age group by four strokes after shooting a 39.
Other Hudson residents who competed are as follows:
• Boys (16-19): Kyle Susz, tied for 21st, 83; Andrew Yard, tied for 31st, 87; Jackson Choi, tied for 35th, 88; and Michael Martin, tied for 39th, 93;
• Boys (11-15): Andrew Clark, eighth, 84;
• Boys (8-11): Jonathan Susz, 11th, 60; and
• Girls (8-11): Elena Varga, seventh, 61.
