Capping a solid campaign with an influx of promising young talent, the Twinsburg boys and girls swimming teams competed well at a difficult district meet.
A host of Tigers performed well at the Cleveland State University Division I District Championships Feb 15 at CSU’s Busbey Natatorium.
Gifted senior Evan Bartel finished 23rd overall at districts in the 200-yard freestyle race with an outstanding time of 1 minute and 50.24 seconds.
That mark bettered his seed time as Bartel excelled at CSU.
At sectionals, Bartel raced to a 12th-place finish in the 200-yard free race with a clocking of 1:51.52.
Leading the Twinsburg girls’ squad at districts was promising freshman standout Meredith Bartel, who is Evan Bartel’s sister.
