Nevertheless, the Tallmadge girls bowlers are the 2019-20 Suburban League champions.

The Blue Devils finished 11-0 in the league after defeating Wadsworth 2,253-2,053 Wednesday at Kolony Bowl.

Tallmadge outscored the Grizzlies 558-473 in the Baker games. Isabelle Hall led the Blue Devils with a 429 series. She rolled games of 219 and 210, respectively.

Kirsten Moore was next for Tallmadge with a 425 series (225 and 200). Also contributing for the Blue Devils were Morgan Cool (152 and 128), Aileena Sargeant (140 and 121), Makayla Legg (144) and Florence Drayer (126).

The Blue Devils finished fourth at the Suburban League tournament last Saturday after winning the preseason competition earlier in the winter.

The Tallmadge boys finished 9-2 in the league after earning a 2,492-2,163 win.

Joshua Parry led the way with a 449 series (224 and 225). Patrick Stachowiak was next with a 418 series (211 and 207) and Parker Braccio rolled a 395 series (162 and 233).

Also competing for the Blue Devils were Robert Wilson (174 and 183) and Kaiden Cantiberos (191).

Both teams are scheduled to compete in Division I sectional play Friday at Stonehedge Entertainment in Akron. Bowling is set to begin at noon.
