Three Hudson residents advanced to the Ohio Athletic Committee junior high state tournament after their performances at a district competition Sunday at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School.

Eighth-grade students Noah Broski, Mitchell Harrison and Cade Driscoll advanced to the state tournament, which is scheduled to take place March 21 and 22 at the Covelli Center in Youngstown.

Broski and Harrison finished fourth at 138 and 164 pounds, respectively, and Driscoll finished fifth at 176 pounds. The top six wrestlers in each weight class from the eight district competitions qualified for the state tourney.

Seventh-grade student Jake Clapper, also a Hudson resident, is a state alternate after placing seventh at 164 pounds.
