Due to injuries and overall lack of depth, the Western Reserve Academy ice hockey team has struggled much of the season.

On Thursday, the Pioneers got something that has been extremely rare this winter.

That would be a convincing win.

Host Reserve improved to 3-15-1 overall and 2-4 in the Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League White Division after defeating Canfield 3-0.

Jad Darwiche scored twice and Micah Cary had one goal for WRA. Goaltender Adam Goad finished with 20 saves for the Pioneers.
