Western Reserve Academy recently announced CJ Polak as its new head coach of the boys lacrosse team.

Before his return to WRA to serve as the assistant director of admissions, Polak, a 2013 WRA graduate, was an assistant lacrosse coach at Muskingum University in New Concord.

Prior to Muskingum, Polak attended The College of Wooster and was a member of the men's lacrosse program. He was the team’s captain during his senior year.

His years of experience also include coaching True Lacrosse Ohio. He also works with Burning River Lacrosse, the top travel program in the region.

Polak looks forward to developing WRA's players and continuing to build the success of the program, as well as sharing his love of the game with the athletes.

Fine and Performing Arts Department faculty member Johnny Buck will be the team's assistant coach. Buck coached Girls Lacrosse for five years at Chatham Hall, the Virginia Boarding School where his family lived and worked prior to WRA.

Prior to Chatham Hall, Buck coached junior varsity boys lacrosse at New Hampton School in New Hampshire for six years. He played lacrosse at New England College (New Hampshire), the University of Arizona and in high school.
