The Tallmadge girls and boys bowling teams competed at the Rootstown Rover Sectional Preview tournament Saturday at Spins Bowl Kent.

The girls team finished fifth with a score of 3,473 pins. Norton won the 14-team competition with 3,633 pins. Boardman (3,618), Akron Archbishop Hoban (3,562) and Uniontown Green (3,553) placed second, third and fourth respectively.

Kirsten Moore led the Blue Devils with a first-place series’ score of 694. She rolled games of 200, 226 and a season-high 268, respectively.

Isabelle Hall was the next highest bowler for Tallmadge with a series’ score of 570 (202, 178 and 190). Also faring well for the Blue Devils were Florence Drayer (137 and 159), Aileena Sargeant (115 and 142) and Makayla Legg (135).

The boys team finished third out of 14 teams with a score of 4,155. Nordonia (4,318) and Kent Roosevelt (4,200) took the top two spots.

Four Tallmadge boys rolled 600 series. Leading the way was Robert Wilson, who rolled a 654 series (246, 230 and 178).

Not far behind was teammate Parker Braccio, who bowled a 648 series (207, 228 and 213).

Patrick Stachowiak rolled a 640 series (189, 246 and 205) and Joshua Parry bowled a 639 series (187, 227 and 225).
