The Hudson boys basketball team fell to 5-7 on the season after losing to Ellet 49-44 Saturday in Akron.
The loss ended a two-game winning streak for the Explorers.
Hudson led 35-27 heading into the final eight minutes and neutralized Orangeman star Trevin Carter, who had just one point through three quarters.
However, Carter had his way when it really counted.
He scored 14 of his game-high 15 points in the final period to lead Ellet’s comeback.
David Gentry and Damani Ganaway each had 12 points to lead the Explorers. Jack Burdett contributed eight points and 10 rebounds and Peyton Koscho scored eight points for Hudson.
