It’s something that took way too long to happen, but the Hudson boys basketball team experienced something significant for the first time this season.
That would be a winning streak.
The Explorers earned their second consecutive win after earning a hard-fought 39-35 victory over host Wadsworth Friday at Coach Dave Sladky Court. With the win, the Explorers improved to 5-6 overall and 4-4 in the Suburban League National Conference. The Grizzlies dropped to 1-10 overall and 1-7 in the conference.
Hudson led by as many as 10 points late in the third quarter. Jack Burdett paced the Explorers with 10 points, eight assists and six rebounds and Peyton Koscho scored eight points for Hudson.
Stan Bingham scored a game-high 15 points for Wadsworth, which utilized a slow-paced four-corners’ offense to stay in the game.
