The Tallmadge girls bowling team remained unbeaten in Suburban League play with a hard-fought win Monday.
The Blue Devils improved to 6-0 overall and in the league after earning a 2,007-1,922 victory over Nordonia at Stonehedge Entertainment in Akron.
Kirsten Moore had the high overall series of 375 for Tallmadge after rolling games of 174 and 201, respectively. Isabelle Hall was next for the Blue Devils with a 368 series (169 and 199).
Also competing for the Blue Devils were Morgan Cool (151 and 151), Florence Drayer (116 and 133) and Aileena Sargeant (119 and 121).
The boys team lost its first match of the season.
Tallmadge suffered a 2,862-2,661 defeat to the Knights. In 10 games, Nordonia bowlers rolled 200 or better nine times. The Knights also had four bowlers roll series of 427 or better, including a 505 series from Spencer Stehlik.
Robert Wilson led Tallmadge (5-1, 5-1) with a 443 series (214 and 229). Teammate Parker Braccio bowled the top game (248). He also rolled a 181.
Others who bowled two games for the Blue Devils were Patrick Stachowiak (203 and 194) and Cooper Randolph (163 and 190).
