It didn’t take long for Tallmadge graduate Sara Johnson to make an impact on the collegiate level.
Johnson, a sophomore on the John Carroll University women’s track and field team in University Heights, reached the NCAA Division III championships as a freshman in the 100-meter dash and as a member of the 400-meter relay team last spring.
Johnson recently received another prestigious honor for her brief time in college. The standout sprinter was named to the Blue Streaks’ All-Decade Team.
Since Johnson competed for John Carroll, she has been part of four school records (three of them still stand). She also has won two Ohio Athletic Conference titles, including the 60-meter crown.
Johnson is a five-time All-OAC and three-time Great Lakes All-Region performer. She is a two-time Outdoor National qualifier too.
