The Hudson ice hockey team fell to 9-8-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the Cleveland High School Hockey League Red Division after losing to Strongsville 3-2 Friday at Kent State University Ice Arena.

The Explorers scored the first two goals of the match before the Mustangs rallied. Strongsville scored one of its goals on a 5-on-2 power play.

Luke Karnofel had a goal and an assist and Ty Koerbel scored once for Hudson. Jonah Karnofel added an assist for the Explorers, who got 20 saves from goaltender Nick Tomasulo.
