The host Blue Devils improved to 8-4 overall and 3-2 in the Suburban League American Conference after earning a 37-35 victory over host Barberton Saturday at Jack Greynolds Floor.
With the game tied at 35, the Magics had the ball in the final seconds. The ball went to An’taniyah Easter in the low post. Easter’s shot was blocked by Addie Bowman.
The loose ball went to Tallmadge’s Lizzie Bickar, who went coast to coast to score the game-winning layup at the buzzer.
Just four players scored for the Blue Devils. Bickar finished with a team-high 17 points. She also had 10 rebounds, six steals and four assists.
Jill Catalano had eight points and 10 rebounds and Maya Dexter contributed eight points and seven rebounds for Tallmadge. Dexter tied the game with 10 seconds left on a layup after a drive to the basket.
Bowman finished with four points, eight rebounds and three blocks. Easter led Barberton with 17 points.
