A day after suffering a tough, close-fought division loss, the Aurora ice hockey team’s leading scorer made sure it wouldn’t happen again.

Junior Cameron Mullin tallied four goals and three assists, factoring in every Greenmen goal as they defeated Westlake 7-1 Sunday at the North Olmsted Recreation Center.

Aurora had the upper hand from the drop of the puck, tallying two goals in the first period and another three goals in the second period to take a 5-0 lead.

Freshman Zane Martin added two goals and an assist for the Greenmen. Senior Jack McElwee had a goal and an assist for Aurora (12-6). Matt Romansky scored the lone goal for the Demons (4-14).

Junior goalie Nolan Sullivan turned aside nine shots for the Greenmen. Alex Rendziak made 25 saves in net for Westlake, which fell to 4-14.

Through 18 games, Mullin leads the Greenmen with 18 goals and 39 points.
