The host Tallmadge boys basketball team suffered its second consecutive loss after falling to Copley 73-57 at James O. Maddox Court.

With the defeat, the Blue Devils dropped to 3-7 overall and 1-3 in the Suburban League American Conference. Meanwhile, the Indians picked up their first win of the season.

Copley led 38-24 at halftime, but Tallmadge cut its deficit to seven heading into the fourth. The Indians put the Blue Devils away by outscoring them 20-11 in the final eight minutes.

Khoi Thurmon led Copley with a game-high 18 points. Cole Beck and Amire Robinson contributed 15 and 13 points, respectively, for the Indians. Joseph Norman added 11 points for Copley (1-9, 1-3).

Brandon Heigelmann led Tallmadge with 16 points and Danny Kurko and Kyle Ries added 12 and 11 points, respectively, for the Blue Devils.
