The Tallmadge bowling teams competed at the Holiday Invitational last Thursday at Stonehedge Entertainment in Akron.
The girls team lost to eventual champion Norton 3-2 in the semifinals. The Blue Devils reached the semifinals after defeating Boardman 3-2.
The boys team finished fifth in the qualifying round and then lost to Stow-Munroe Falls 3-2. The Blue Devils won the first two games before the Bulldogs rallied. Nordonia won the boys’ title.
Kirsten Moore led the Tallmadge girls with a 612 series. She rolled games of 195, 213 and 204, respectively.
Rounding out the top four for the Blue Devils were Isabelle Hall (132, 179 and 137), Morgan Cool (138, 161 and 124) and Florence Drayer (122, 127 and 140).
Patrick Stachowiak led the Tallmadge boys with a 630 series (172, 234 and 224). Parker Braccio was next for the Blue Devils with scores of 168, 189 and 218, respectively, and Josh Parry rolled games of 213, 156 and 143.
