The Aurora boys basketball team is in a rut right now.

The Greenmen are hoping to get out of it as quickly as possible.

Aurora lost its fifth straight game after suffering a 77-64 defeat to host Barberton Friday at Jack Greynolds Floor.

With the loss, the Greenmen dropped to 1-5 overall and 1-4 in the Suburban League American Conference.

The Magics (4-2, 3-1) outscored Aurora 23-15 in the second quarter to take a 40-33 lead. Barberton put it away in the fourth period by outscoring the Greenmen 20-13.

Ethan Hays led Aurora with 22 points and Gabe Elsawy added 19 points for the Greenmen. Logan Keilin and Lenny Feckner each scored eight points for Aurora.

Anthony Cook converted five 3-pointers to lead Barberton with a game-high 29 points. Jamair Blackmon finished with 23 points for the Magics.
