The host Aurora ice hockey team improved to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in the Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League Blue North Division after earning a 3-1 victory over Western Reserve Academy Saturday at The Pond Ice Rink in Chagrin Falls.
The Pioneers took a 1-0 lead when Jad Darwiche scored three minutes into the match.
It was all Greenmen after that.
Freshman Zane Martin and sophomore Mike Mancine gave Aurora 2-1 lead in the first period and junior Cameron Mullin added a goal in the third for the Greenmen.
Senior Jack McElwee had two assists for Aurora and freshman Conor McMahon also had one helper.
Goaltender Nolan Sullivan made 24 saves in goal for the Greenmen. Goalie Adam Goad made 39 saves in goal for Reserve, which fell to 0-7 with the loss.
"It was another big league win for us," Aurora head coach John Sheridan said. "Even though we gave up the first goal, we were the better team for the rest of the game and we capitalized on our chances."
