The Western Reserve Academy boys and girls swimming and diving teams suffered their first defeats of the season Dec. 6.

The boys team lost to Akron Archbishop Hoban 93-80 and the girls team lost 123-62 at home.

The following Pioneers placed in the top three and the following Reserve relay teams won:

Boys;

• 200-yard medley relay: Nathan Phillips, Pedro Esquivel Velasquez, Ethan Audia and Brandt Aker, first, 1 minute, 49.85 seconds;

• 200 freestyle: Aker, second, 2:16.4; and Sam Bick, third, 2:36.62;

• 200 individual medley: Audia, second, 2:17.46; and Esquivel Velasquez, third, 2:19.27;

• 50 freestyle: Audia, third, 26.46;

• 100 butterfly: Phillips, first, 56.41;

• 100 freestyle: Naphat Permpredanun, second, 1:00.4; and Julian Adamiak, third, 1:04.13;

• 500 freestyle: Phillips, first, 5:04.36;

• 100 backstroke: Aker, third, 1:07.71;

Girls

• 200 IM: Kacey Collis, second, 2:30.65; and Nora Namiotka, third, 2:40.17;

• Diving: Aubrey Lanham, third, 126.53 points;

• 100 butterfly: Annie Nguyen, third, 1:19.04;

• 100 freestyle: Cui, third, 1:04.62;

• 500 freestyle: Xiang Cheng, third, 6:34.79;

• 100 backstroke: Namiotka, first, 1:12.61; and

• 100 breaststroke: Collis, first, 1:16.2; Cheng, second, 1:19.95; and Rebecca Rubiano, third, 1:27.22.
