Tallmadge senior Amelia Perdue signed a National Letter of Intent Tuesday to continue her academic and volleyball careers at Kent State University.

Perdue, a setter/outside hitter for the Blue Devils this fall, finished with 396 assists and 332 digs for the Blue Devils, who reached a Division II district title match.

She also had 201 service points, including 58 aces, and 172 kills. She averaged 4.8 assists, 4.05 digs a 2.1 kills per set.

Perdue finished with 1.37 service points per rotation and had a 32.5 kill percentage and a 22.1 hitting percentage. She recently was named to the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association Division II District All-Star first team.

"She started out in the front row because that's where we needed her for our team to be at its best," Tallmadge first-year head coach Jim Maloof said. "However, she will be playing in the back row at Kent. She did a lot of intangibles for this team that weren't captured in the stats."
