Western Reserve Academy had its 2019 Fall Athletic Awards ceremony Nov. 6.

Four members of the girls soccer team earned special recognition.

Megan Hovan was named the team’s MVP. Jimena Oliva was named the most improved player and Jai Duval received the spirit award. VivieWestern Reserve Academy had its 2019 Fall Athletic Awards ceremony Nov. 6.

Megan Hovan was named the team’s MVP. Jimena Oliva was named the most improved player and Jai Duval received the spirit award. Vivien Marmerstein received the coach’s award.

Hovan also was named the Tri-County League Player of the Year. Olivia Hrivnak and Jimena Oliva were named to the first team and Audrey Rhea and Amana Sinatha were named to the second team. Norah Woods and Zia Zelman received honorable mention.

Hovan was the lone Pioneer to earn first-team Greater Akron Division III all-district recognition. Olivia Hrivnak, Oliva and Sinatha were named to the second team. Gabrielle Hrivnak, Rhea and Zelman received honorable mention.

Other Reserve soccer players who received letters were Sophia Bluso, Sophie Borrmann, Catherine Brannon, Anna Eisaman, Madeleine Hadrys, Lillian Schultz and Olivia Turk.
