The Western Reserve Academy football team improved to 5-3 on the season after defeating Wyoming Seminary 14-7 Saturday in Kingston, Pennsylvania.
Darius McKenzie scored the go-ahead touchdown from 2 yards away for the Pioneers with eight minutes left in the game.
Ogden Andrew also reached the end zone on an 8-yard run for Reserve with three minutes remaining in the third quarter. Wyoming Seminary got its lone score in the second quarter.
McKenzie carried the ball 18 times for 100 yards and Ogden had 142 yards in 22 attempts. Philip Kettl added 61 yards on 11 carries for WRA.
Kettl, Omar Evans-White and John Okeleke each had an interception for the Pioneers and Landon Allis was named Reserve’s offensive lineman of the week.
