The Western Reserve Academy girls cross country team won the five-team Division III race at the Sim Earich Invitational Saturday.

The invitational took place at Trumbull County Fairgrounds. The Pioneers, who concluded their 2019 season, scored 42 points to defeat second-place East Palestine by 20 points.

Senior Olivia Robinson led Reserve with a fourth-place time of 21 minutes, 36.32 seconds. A total of 77 runners participated.

Freshman Elba Heddesheimer was next for WRA in sixth place (21:44.19) and sophomore Paige Bodnar finished ninth (22:03.92).

Rounding out the top five for the Pioneers were senior Clara Fu (16th, 22:48.91) and junior Joy Tian (17th, 22:56.4).
