Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy football is officially on fire as the season heads into the home stretch.
CVCA pulled out its fourth straight win with 30-13 home win over Canal Fulton Northwest Friday at Royals Stadium. CVCA improved to 5-1, 3-0 in Principals’ Athletic Conference, having scored 30 points or more in its last four games.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Royals took leads of 14-6 at halftime and 27-6 after three quarters, as the Royals became the first team this season to hold the Indians below 30 points in a game.
CVCA faces perhaps its biggest challenge of the season next week, as the Royals will travel to face defending Division V state champion Orrville Friday at 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, Cuyahoga Falls football finds itself in the middle of a four-game losing streak, as the Black Tigers suffered a 62-20 loss at Brecksville-Broadview Heights Friday.
Falls (2-4, 0-3 in the Suburban League National Conference) will return home to face Wadsworth next Friday at 7 p.m.
