The Aurora boys cross country team placed fifth with 151 points at the 16-team Todd Clark Cloverleaf Invitational Saturday in Lodi.
Bay Village Bay won the competition with 78 points. Shaker Heights was the runner-up with 93 points and Canton GlenOak (102) and North Canton Hoover (115) finished third and fourth, respectively.
Cloverleaf’s Max Gucker defeated 119 other runners by more than 18 seconds. He finished with a time of 16 minutes, 20 seconds.
The Greenmen’s Matthew Singleton was the runner-up with a clocking of 16:38.6. Andrew Ploskunak was next for Aurora in 13th (17:28.9).
Rounding out the top five for the Greenmen were Justin Hartland (32nd, 18:11.3), Zachary Zabell (51st, 18:51.7) and Samuel Siedel (53rd, 18:54.6).
