After some massive struggles for much of the season, the Western Reserve Academy girls tennis team has its first winning streak.

The host Pioneers won their third consecutive match after earning a commanding 5-0 victory over Akron Our Lady of the Elms Friday.

Reserve (4-10) won all of its matches in straight sets. Katie Chen (6-2, 6-0), Hannah Ma (6-2, 6-1) and Pritam Garcha (6-0, 6-2) cruised in singles’ play.

WRA’s doubles teams of Rowena Ge and Lauren Landry (6-2, 6-2) and Chelsea Dodson and Annie Nguyen (6-4, 6-1) also rolled in their matches.
