The Aurora girls soccer team has a losing record as the halfway point approaches.
When it comes to the Suburban League American Conference, on the other hand, it has been a much different story.
The Greenmen have proven to be juggernauts thus far.
Host Aurora improved to 4-5-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference after cruising to a lopsided 9-0 victory over Barberton Thursday at Veterans Stadium.
Alyssa Marotta scored a career-high four goals to lead the Greenmen, who defeated conference rival Tallmadge 8-0 earlier in the season. Emma Krondorfer had one goal and two assists and Maggie Keiper and Ashleigh Stern added one goal and one assist apiece.
Lauren Tincher and Makayla Teichow also found the nets. Aurora goalkeeper Morgan Demagall made six saves in the nets. The Greenmen outshot the Magics 20-7.
