The Hudson girls golf team is the 2019 Suburban League National Conference runner-up.

That became official during the Explorers’ second-place finish in the National Conference at the last of the four Suburban League tournaments Wednesday at Barberton Brookside Country Club in Norton.

The Explorers finished with a score of 359. Stow-Munroe Falls, which won the overall title, captured first with a score of 348. Twinsburg and Brecksville-Broadview Heights finished in a tie for third with a 371. The Tigers took third in the eight-team overall standings.

The Bulldogs’ Ellie McCoy earned medalist honors with a 78.

Hudson’s Lilly Hess and Delaney DiGeronimo each shot an 89 to finish in a four-way tie for fourth place. Their scores were career-best 18-hole totals.

Maddie Horrigan was next for the Explorers with a career-best 90. Sarah Hinkle rounded out the team scoring for Hudson with a 91.
