The Western Reserve Academy boys cross country team placed sixth with 173 points in the 16-team varsity Blue race at the McDonough Invitational.

The race took place Saturday at Forest Hills Park in Cleveland Heights.

Chesterland West Geauga won the competition with 49 points and Parma Padua Franciscan (125) and Cadiz Harrison Central (131) finished second and third, respectively.

Vermillion’s Luke See top 119 other runners to win the race by more than 51 seconds. He finished with a time of 17 minutes, 1.18 seconds.

David King led the Pioneers with a ninth-place clocking of 18:30.2. Rounding out the top five for Reserve were Raymond Barrett (27th, 19:36.7), Cade Howard (37th, 19:55.39), Jack Colafella (38th, 19:57.62) and Kkenize Zhang (74th, 21:43.91).
