It was a battle between two of the best Division I teams in the state.
Unfortunately, the home team’s ranking will probably drop in the next poll.
The host Hudson boys soccer team fell to 4-2 in 2019 after losing to Worthington Kilbourne 2-1 Saturday at Hudson Memorial Stadium.
The Explorers are ranked fifth in the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association state poll. Kilbourne (6-0-1) is ranked sixth. All three goals took place in the second half.
Tyler Travis scored the lone goal for Hudson. Pete Strawbridge had the assist. Explorers’ goalkeeper Stephen Yerian made eight saves in the nets.
The Wolves had a 10-7 advantage in shots on goal and a 7-5 edge in corner kicks.
