The Hudson girls volleyball played its second consecutive five-set marathon.

Unfortunately, the Explorers did not come up with a victory this time.

Host Hudson dropped to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the Suburban League National Conference after losing to Nordonia 22-25, 18-25, 25-19, 25-23, 15-11 Tuesday at Ray "Buck" Hyser Gymnasium.

Amelia Hoffmeier was her typical stellar self in the back row for the Explorers. She finished with 42 digs and 14 service points, including six aces.

Brooke Ramlow added 19 assists, 12 digs, eight kills and two blocks and Morgan Gaeta finished with 12 digs and eight kills for Hudson.

Other contributors for the Explorers were Allyson Yanak (nine kills and four blocks), Page Gross (seven kills and five blocks), Cailynn Sullivan (eight kills and two blocks), Anna Faust (15 digs), Rylyn Dearstine (seven blocks and five kills) and Melissa Hansen (26 assists and nine digs).
