The host Aurora volleyball team improved to 3-3 in 2019 after earning a 25-13, 25-11, 25-19 victory over Suburban League crossover rival Cuyahoga Falls Saturday.
Alayna Fromwiller and Jordan Miller each had eight kills for the Greenmen. Brooke Fishback contributed 29 assists and 11 service points, including two aces, and Maria Parks and Brooke Dubensky each had 11 digs for Aurora. Lauren Vonderhaar added five blocks.
"After starting the season 0-2, ending the second week 3-3 is nothing to hang our heads about," Price said. "We are playing well and finding our stride with different lineups.
"We were able to be aggressive the entire match and had a couple times where we weren’t focused. We worked on being aggressive and always being ready to limit the other teams runs. We were able to do that and it showed.
"Since we were playing well, I was able to get all of the underclassmen in who might not usually play. The third set lineup consisted of sophomores and freshmen. The seniors were able to coach from.the sidelines and the underclassmen pulled out the victory."
