The Middlebury (Vermont) College women's lacrosse team recently was selected as a 2019 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad.
Western Reserve Academy graduate and Hudson native Hannah McKenzie, a junior defender, was one of 11 team members to earn a spot on the IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll.
The honor roll consisted of student-athletes from all three NCAA divisions, as well as National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics’ institutions. Each student-athlete chosen was nominated by their respective school and maintained at least junior status for the national honor. They also must have a cumulative academic grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Middlebury capped off the 2019 season by claiming its second NCAA Championship in the last four years and seventh title overall. The Panthers finished with a single-season program-tying 22 wins (22-1) and captured their 10th New England Small College Athletic Conference championship.
