Aurora residents Nate Fletcher and Jameson Embrescia concluded stellar seasons as members of the age 13-and-younger Ohio Prospect League all-tournament team.

The OPL all-star team consisted of 36 teams in the 13-and-younger division across northeast Ohio. Tryouts took place and 13 players were picked to represent the team in its quest to reach the Pony League World Series.

The team defeated squads from Maryland and Mount Union, Pennsylvania, and lost to Johnstown (Pa.) twice in a double-elimination tournament earlier this summer in Boardman.

Despite the losses, the OPL team, along with Johnstown, advanced to the East Zone Finals earlier in the month.

The OPL all stars defeated defending champion Cranberry and then lost to eventual champion Johnstown in the next round. As a result of its title, Johnstown advanced to the Pony World Series in Whittier, California.
